KELECHI IHEANACHO MAKERS FUTURE VOW AFTER SIGNING NEW MAN CITY DEAL
The Nigeria international has
described his feelings as he agrees a contract extension
Kelechi Iheanacho is excited about signing a new deal with Manchester City and is looking forward to achieving great
things with the club. The 19-year-old has vowed to work hard for the club and justify their faith in him.
The Citizens tied down the Nigeria international to a two-year contract extension on Thursday, with the Super Eagle committing his future to the club until 2021. Iheanacho tried to explain how he felt about his new deal with the Sky Blues.
“I can't express how I'm feeling!” the youngster began. “I'm very happy to sign
my new deal for this Club, I'm excited.
"I just need to keep working hard and express my feelings on the pitch, and work really well and do great things for the team.”
Iheanacho didn’t feature for City as they thumped Steaua Bucharest in their Champions League playoff first leg in Romania on Tuesday evening, but has already made a key contribution under Pep Guardiola.
The Spaniard’s Premier League debut at home against Sunderland appeared to be heading for a draw until Paddy McNair, under pressure from Iheanacho, put the ball past Vito Mannone with only minutes remaining on the clock. “I'm happy and I appreciate everything the Club has done for me so far at this
point,” Iheanacho added, “so I really need to help and work for them as well.”
