ATIKU’S ABSENCE WILL NOT BE FELT IN APC - GOV MASARI

The governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari has said the exit of former vice president Atiku Abubakar will not be felt in APC - The governor said Atiku’s exit is good riddance to bad rubbish –
The governor made the statement when he received the leadership and members of the state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at government House, Katsina The governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari has said the exit of former vice president Atiku Abubakar and other members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party Party (PDP), will not be felt in the APC, adding that it is good riddance to bad rubbish.
According to reports, the governor advised the party that defectors should be allowed to go, saying the latter were not comfortable with the people’s policies introduced by President Muhammadu Buhari.
It gathered that Masari made the statement at the government house in Katsina when he received the leadership and members of the state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The Governor said: “For those of them leaving the party, it is good riddance to bad rubbish. Let them go. Even here, locally, we have them but we can deal with them.
“It is not good enough for somebody to enter his room and start talking . Let us come out and face the people.
“This government is ready, willing and prepared to face anybody and account for our stewardship anytime and anywhere.
“Stay away from those enemies of the people who are masquerading as if they like or they are for the people. They were once in a position to salvage the situation but they misused the opportunities."
It had previously reported that an associate of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Mallam Isah Dansallah and a former speaker of the Taraba state House of Assembly, Simon Dogari, had defected from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In Kaduna, Dansallah, who is a founding member of the APC attributed his defection to what he called lack of good governance by the ruling party. He told the Leadership newspaper that the party had failed the Nigerian people.
“I dump the APC to PDP because the opposition PDP is lesser evil compare with the ruling APC," he said. He added:
“There was a time that I found myself in the APC, I worked for its success in 2015, but the APC has metamorphosed and turned into a ghost with crisis all over.
“The APC led government has succeeded in subjecting Nigerians to abject poverty and has successfully divided Nigerians along religious and ethnic lines.”
