SECURE DEAL FOR MIN. £62MILLION – STAR ALREADY CONVINCED TO JOIN
Liverpool have been linked with French international and Monaco
star Thomas Lemar since the summer transfer window and the latest updates going
on in the media are intriguing.
On 4th January, renowned journalist Duncan Castles said
(Transfer Window Podcast):
“They (LFC) went higher (for Van Dijk) than those competing clubs
(Chelsea and Man City) were prepared to go but they convinced the player first
and that is what I’ve told they’ve done with Lemar too.”
On 7th January, John Cross from the Mirror reported that Liverpool want Lemar to replace
Coutinho and the player is ready to snub the likes of Man United, Arsenal and
Chelsea because he is keen to move to Anfield.
Yesterday, Mirror reported that the reigning French champions are
open to selling Lemar this month but Liverpool will have to splash a fee
of £90million to secure his signing.
However, later in the day, renowned French source RMC Sport reported that Thomas will only leave if a
concrete offer is made and he would cost 70 million euros (£62million) minimum.
It is mentioned that Liverpool are watching Lemar and should not really be
bothered by his price tag.
It seems that Lemar’s price tag has dropped. Why? Perhaps because
of his poor form. So far, the 22-year-old winger has only scored 3 goals in 20 games for Monaco in the
current campaign. Nevertheless, he has the quality to be a hit at Anfield.
