MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYERS ANTHONY MARTIAL AND ROMELU LUKAKU CAN BREAK
CLUB PREMIER LEAGUE RECORD
Man Utd duo Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku
combined for another goal vs Chelsea in the Premier League.
Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku can break a Manchester United record in the next
fixture against Crystal Palace.
The
pair helped United down Chelsea at the weekend when Martial set up his teammate for the
equaliser in the 2-1 victory.
It was the third time that the Frenchman has assisted Lukaku in the Premier League so far this season.
And Lukaku has returned the favour
a further three times, meaning the two have combined for a total of six league
goals in 2017/18 so far.
It is the most prolific
combination for United this season - and equals the record set for a
partnership at United in a single Premier League season.
In eight of United's previous
Premier League campaigns two players have directly combined for six goals, but
Lukaku and Martial now have two and a half months to surpass the likes of Cristiano
Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, who reached that total in 2009.
