SENATOR ABE SPEAKS ON ABANDONING APC, ATTACKING AMAECHI
The senator representing Rivers South-East, Senator Magnus
Abe, has told his loyalists to stop attacking leader of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, in the state, Rotimi Amaechi.
Abe also reiterated that he “will not leave the APC for any
other party irrespective of the internal wranglings bedeviling the party.”
He added that the APC was formidable enough to be victorious in 2019.
According to the lawmaker, he would remain a member of the
APC and “will never abandon the party for whatever reasons.”
Abe, who spoke in Port Harcourt, the Rives State capital
yesterday during a one-day dialogue organised by a network of youths and
student leaders in the state, called for a united APC.
He urged his supporters to “respect all the party leaders,
including the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi and not to attack
them on the social media.”
He said that APC was one and will remain indivisible.
He urged executives of the party to “call a meeting of the
factions in order to give members of the party the opportunity to express their
feelings on some pressing issues.”
