SOLDIERS, POLICEMEN TAKE OVER APC SECRETARIAT AS SENATE SUSPENDS PLENARY 

A strong team of armed police and military personnel have taken over security at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Abuja.

This development is in preparation for the National Executive Committee meeting of the party. Truckloads of soldiers and policemen built a security parameter at the main entrance and exit of the street leading to the secretariat.

24 APC governors, President Muhammadu Buhari and VP Yemi Osinbajo are expected to attend the meeting which will begin at 11:00 am.

The Senate also adjourned Tuesday’s plenary to allow members of the All Progressives Congress Caucus attend the National Executive Council meeting of the ruling party. Majority Leader, Senator Ahmad Lawan, moved that the plenary be adjourned, which was unanimously granted.
