“I'm getting married soon and I am definitely looking forward to marrying a virgin,” Emeka said as they approached the eatery and took thier seat somewhere at the extreme away from the entrance.
Joseph gazed at him in shock "But ain't you the same person who slept with Chioma, had a night stand with Rita, took away the virginity of Ijeoma and some other ladies I cannot recall their names now?" he said with a deep voice and slowly uncovered the bottle of fanta before him.
“And so?” He bluntly replied. While he talked, Joseph marveled, his heart cringed at his ideology and a volcano of fire slowly but steadily erupted within him but he didn't say a world.
He took a sip from the bottle of fanta and gave a long look to his old time pal who will be his best man for his marriage in a fourth night.
Emeka ignored his drama and continued “Joseph, don't even give me that priestly look, you are not the only Christain here. We are both guys and we know that one is supposed to play in a general swimming pool and then find a private pond.' Don't tell me you are yet to take off Prisca's blouse oh"
Jospeh greeted his words with silence and paid more attention to his drink but an obviously obsessed Emeka continued
"Oga stop prentending like you are the only one that will go to heaven. Ladies these days can be deceptive, after jumping from bed to bed, they will now claim repentance and start deceiving the good church guys by wearing turban and long skirts. My guy forget all this your ideology and check if you and Gabriella are sexually compatible. Taste the water with your tongue before you drink it"
Joseph couldn't believe those words walked out of the mouth of one who have been a play boy all these while. He wants to settle down now, and seriously, he's looking for a virgin. So who will marry all the other virgins he used and dumped?
This got him really thinking.
Why do we expect a lady to keep her virginity but the expectations are different for guys?
If more persons like Emeka are encouraged to go on with the girls hunting game while they are not ready for commitment, how many virgins will be left? For the male folks, what exactly is our definition of sexual purity?
I am perplexed at the current standard of our society as regards the issue of male and female sexuality.
Why is the standard so different for the opposite sex? Why are the rules completely different for men and women? Isn't there any benefit in male virginity?
A young man said; "I must marry a virgin and she must be very good in bed with mind blowing sexual skills."
Excuse me, sir; if she's suppose to be a virgin as at the time you want to marry her, how then is she suppose to practice and master the sexual skills you desire in her?
Something seriously is wrong with our ideology. Draw a timeline across the shores of human existence, dare to pull out the record books and just then will you hear the cries of many females and understand, better, their fears and fight.
“Saturdays are for weddings” and again I ask, how many men marry virgins? NO! HOW MANY MEN ARE VIRGINS THEMSELVES?

The Biblical story of virgin mary and Joseph should be a guide for a generation messed up with gross darkness of immorality and poor standard. Somehow she and Joseph the carpenter have been dating themselves and about to tye the knot in holy matrimony, she knew his favourite food, she had met his parents, she knew a whole lot about Jospeh but when the angel appeared to her and informed her about the mysterious conception of a child, she was confused her affirmations where "How can this things be for I know not a man"
Wait a minute! But she knew Joseph. Oh yes, the couples knew themselves but they were yet to have any intimate or sexual knowledge of themselves even though they were in love.
Who really is Joseph? you mean he had not tasted the waters? Are you sure he is a real man? Off course he is.
